What is Copy Trading?

Updated this week

Copy Trading allows users to automatically replicate the trades of experienced traders.

On League of Traders (LoT), a Copier can mirror a Copy Leader’s positions in real-time and trade at the same ratio.

🔁 How Does It Work?

  1. The Copier selects a Copy Leader and starts copy trading.

  2. The Copy Leader initiates a trade.

  3. When the leader opens a position on their exchange,

  4. The Copier’s exchange account automatically replicates the same position.

The position is opened using the Copier’s connected API key and is mirrored at the same ratio, but with adjusted size based on asset value.

Example:

  • Leader buys BTC with 10% of a $10,000 portfolio → $1,000

  • Copier has $1,000 → automatically buys BTC worth $100 (10%)

💵 What You Need to Start Copy Trading

  • A connected API key with trading permissions

  • At least $200 in assets
(Copy Leaders can set their own minimum between $200 and $2,000)

⚠️ Things to Watch Out For

  • Minimum order amounts apply on exchanges.
If the asset difference is too large, the trade may not execute.

Example:

  • The leader buys with 1.2% of their assets.

  • But if that amount is less than ₩5,000 (Bithumb's minimum order), the copier’s order won’t go through.

  • Unpaid invoices will limit usage:

    • If a copier earns profit but doesn’t pay the invoice, the leader won’t receive their share.

    • As long as unpaid invoices remain, the copier cannot initiate further copy trades.
